Having the RIGHT FOCUS is key to having success in your life.

A few months ago I was looking at my journal and I realized one of my biggest goals was “Become a Bar Server.”

Was that really my biggest goal for that time?

Honestly why wasn’t I seeing my potential and challenging myself?

Les Brown once said,

“Don’t aim low and hit, aim high and miss. “

Here’s an analogy to help illustrate this idea better.

Imagine all your tasks are balls and you are a juggler.

Each task has a different dollar value depending on it’s importance.

Things like do laundry, brush teeth, those things are worth like $5.

But more important things like go to work are worth $20.

The more important the task the higher the value.

So if juggle for a minute and if you get to keep whatever the amount of the ball that you have in your hand after the minute was over, what would you do?

Would you try and juggle 3 $20 balls, 10 $5 balls, or hold onto one $1,000 ball?

I think the answer is pretty simple, you would probably hold onto the $1,000 ball.

If that’s the case here, then why in life do we get so caught up in tasks with little value to us? Why are we spending so much time focusing on the $5 balls when we could be spending our energy on the BIG GOAL?

I challenge you to really focus in on what is important to you right now.

The task with the most value attached to it.

You’re going to rock it.
